Fatigue is a contributing factor to safety issues across Canada’s marine transportation system, and recognizing the risk of fatigue is key to understanding how to prevent it. This course has been developed to help inform participants about the hazards of fatigue and to support those working in the industry in the implementation of effective measures to ensure the safety and well-being of seafarers. This course will allow those most impacted by the hazards of fatigue to recognize the causes and symptoms, and to develop practical strategies to lessen fatigue risks for themselves and their co-workers.
Average time to complete this course is approximately 1 hour.
This course is for seafarers, shore-based marine support personnel, authorized representatives, and anyone interested in learning how to mitigate the risk of fatigue at sea.
