This course will assist those who have responsibility for confined spaces on their worksites. Building on the concepts introduced in Confined Spaces: The Basics, the course describes the essential components to establish and manage a confined space program in the workplace, as well as important considerations for emergency preparedness. Participants will also learn about the duties and responsibilities of workplace parties, including due diligence and good practices.

Topics include:

• Overview of confined spaces
• Responsibilities of all parties
• Elements of a confined space program
• Emergency response planning

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Recognize the responsibilities of workers, supervisors, and employers
• Identify the purpose and key elements of a confined space program
• Recall key facts about emergency response procedures

Average time to complete this course is approximately 1 hour.

Prerequisite

Completion of Confined Spaces: The Basics or equivalent knowledge.
