April 28, 2023 – Hamilton, ON – Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS)
Today on the National Day of Mourning, the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) encourages all workplaces to observe a moment of silence at 11:00 a.m. in memory of those who lost their lives or suffered an injury or illness due to their work.
To commemorate the day and spread awareness about the National Day of Mourning, workplaces can use CCOHS’s free resources.
Download the new Day of Mourning reflection and dandelion posters, host a moment of silence with this video, and share social media messages using the hashtag #DayofMourning. Podcasts featuring the personal stories of family members who have been deeply impacted by workplace loss are also available.
More information about the National Day of Mourning is available on the CCOHS website.
