February 15, 2022 – Hamilton, ON – Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS)
The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has added three online courses to its mental health resources to help organizations achieve a psychologically healthy workplace.
Psychological Health and Safety for Employers explains how to assess the psychological health and safety of the workplace and how to create an environment where workers feel supported. This course also provides information on how to apply appropriate control measures to address psychosocial factors and improve mental health and safety in the workplace.
Psychological Health and Safety for Workers provides tools to recognize how work environments affect mental health and identify factors that influence mental health. The course also covers the roles both employers and workers play in promoting psychological health and safety in the workplace. This course is available for free until March 31, 2022.
The free course Reducing Mental Health Stigma in the Workplace explains how stigmas are established, how to avoid perpetuating them, and how to support colleagues through active listening and offering resources.
These courses are available in English and French and are recommended for anyone interested in learning about mental health in the workplace.
All three courses can be accessed on the CCOHS website.
