Description: Keeping COVID-19 Out of Your Workplace During Holidays
It only takes a single infected person to start a COVID-19 outbreak in the workplace
As an employer, you can promote safe behaviours and communicate information about remaining vigilant, evaluating personal risks, and making safe choices.
Remind workers
- Both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals can become infected with COVID-19 and be contagious.
- Their actions outside of work can impact the workplace.
- Avoid going to work, attending gatherings, vacationing, and travelling if they feel sick.
Make safe choices during holidays or special occasions
- Avoid large indoor gatherings with people from outside your household.
- Follow personal preventive practices when out in public (physical distancing, mask wearing, hand hygiene, minimizing interactions).
- Host safe events and gatherings (smaller groups, household members only, outdoor or virtual settings).
- Follow federal, provincial, and territorial travel requirements.
Don’t let your guard down!
Maintaining a COVID-19 free workplace depends on everyone doing their part.
Continue to follow guidance from your local public health authority.
