Role Playing
Another class activity is to ask learners to identify situations they may experience (or have experienced) working with stressed and/or violent people. Place learners in smaller groups and have them role-play some of the the stressful situations they have identified. Make sure the role playing focuses on the successful resolution of the difficult situation. Practicing techniques of recognizing potential warning signs of a stressed or possibly violent person will help the learners develop skills to lessen the impact and intensity of these types of situations.
