Grounding means electrical connection to the ground. In a three
prong power cord, one of the wires is grounded. In effect, this connects the
housing of an appliance to the ground. Grounding protects us from an
electrical shock in case a fault develops and the body of the appliance or
equipment comes in contact with the live electrical wire. |

Machine guarding prevents access to moving parts, rotating, in running
nips, high energy sources and hot parts. This eliminates the chances
of injury. |

Lockout is switching off the power and placing a lock on the power
