Everyone experiences slips and trips from time to time. However, they can cause serious injury and even death. A significant number of all injury claims are due to a fall from a slip or trip. Many falls also go unreported. In this course, you will learn about preventing slips, trips or falls from the same level or on stairs in your workplace.

  • Prevention strategies for key areas, including good practices for housekeeping, stairs, flooring, visibility, footwear, and parking lots
  • Components of an effective health and safety program
  • Approaches for identifying and controlling slip and trip hazards
  • Worker, supervisor, and employer responsibilities

This course does not cover working at heights, falls from heights, fall protection equipment or working on ladders.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Recognize effective methods for preventing falls from slips and trips
