HAMILTON, ON (October 2, 2011) – The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has launched a series of tools and resources organizations can use when transitioning to a scent-free workplace.
Webinar
CCOHS will release Making Sense of Scent-Free Workplaces, a free, 30 minute webinar featuring CCOHS’ Senior Technical Specialist Jan Chappel. Chappel will provide an overview about scents and sensitivities and the challenges faced in the workplace. The live webinar will take place on October 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM EST.
Posters
The Scent-Free Zone poster is intended to help employers designate work areas as fragrance free, and to remind employees and visitors not to wear perfume, cologne, aftershave and other fragrances, and to use unscented personal care products.
The Air Aware poster was designed to inform employees about the issue of scent sensitivities and how fragrances can impact the health of their coworkers.
Both posters are double-sided, in English and French and are available as free downloads from the CCOHS website, or for sale as glossy prints.
Buttons
To help show support for a fragrance-free environment, I’m Air Aware buttons can also be purchased for use as part of an air awareness campaign.
